Accessibility Statement

Effective Date: February 19th, 2026

Washington Families Thrive (WFT) is committed to ensuring digital accessibility and providing a website and service experience that is accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of circumstance or ability. We believe that every family deserves seamless access to care solutions, and we are continually working to improve the user experience for everyone.

1. Our Commitment

We aim to comply with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA standards. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with a wide array of disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, language, learning, and neurological disabilities.

2. Multi-Channel Service Access

We recognize that a website or digital form may not be the most accessible medium for every user. To ensure that our childcare and backup care matching services are available to all, we offer multiple methods of engagement. You are encouraged to use the method that best suits your needs:

  • Online Intake Form: Our digital intake process is designed to be screen-reader friendly and navigable via keyboard.

  • Email Support: You may initiate services or ask questions by emailing us at Debbie.Carlsen@WAFamiliesThrive.com. We are happy to coordinate matching services entirely via email for those who prefer text-based communication.

  • Phone Assistance: For those who prefer verbal communication or require assistance filling out forms, we offer full service via telephone. Please call us at 206-930-6668 to speak with a coordinator directly.

3. Ongoing Efforts

Accessibility is an ongoing process. We regularly review our digital platforms and service workflows to identify and fix potential barriers. Our goal is to ensure that the transition from identifying a care need to receiving a match is as frictionless as possible for every parent and employee.

4. Feedback and Contact Information

We welcome your feedback on the accessibility of Washington Families Thrive. If you encounter any barriers on our website or within our service process, please let us know so we can resolve the issue and provide you with the support you need.

We aim to respond to accessibility inquiries within two business days.
